JOF Board Member Biographies
Pete Fallico
For many years, Pete Fallico has been an advocate
and ardent promoter of Jazz Organ music. Widely respected and recognized
in the Jazz community as a leading authority and consultant on the
subject, Pete has been a force in turning this oft-neglected genre
of Jazz into a renewed and in-demand sound. He pursues this elevation
of Jazz Organ awareness through his weekly Doodlin' Lounge
radio broadcast from KUSP radio in Santa Cruz; his many emcee appearances
at Jazz festivals across the country; and through his Jazz Organ
productions in and around the Bay Area where he lives.
Linda Jones
Linda Jones' first exposure to jazz was as a teen, listening to
late night radio on the French language stations in her native Montreal,
Canada. Since then, she has been an avid fan of the music. Her interest
in Jazz Organ music has grown steadily over the years. She has traveled
to Jazz Organ summits, visited numerous venues across the US and
participated in online forums devoted to Jazz Organ. Linda has worked
diligently to advance and promote the music she loves. She is a
writer and reviewer and the owner of JazzPlanner, an organization
that provides business support services to independent musicians.
Along with her fellow Board of Directors, its advisory committee,
volunteers and members, Linda hopes to develop the Jazz Organ Fellowship
as the premier organization dedicated to presenting Jazz Organ music
and to extending awareness and appreciation of this music through
concerts, educational and community outreach initiatives. Linda
lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Bob Schleicher
Bob is considered by many to be the premier Hammond
organ technician in the country. He is the proprietor of Electronic
Instrument Service in Oakland, CA and has been repairing Hammond
organs and Leslie tone cabinets since 1968. He is a well respected
businessman and supporter of the Arts in his community.
